La Minita is known as being the crown jewel of the Tarrazu Valley in Costa Rica. Despite its phenomenal reputation of the highest quality coffee, they do not shy away from new techniques and experimentation.  In 2010, the same year we launched Beacon, a outdoor drying patio was built at the Beneficio. This preparation is a new experiment from the Beneficio Tarrazu. The coffee cherry are stored in a clean tank for 24 hours after receiving. The cherries are pulped on after 24 hours and the pulped coffee is returned to the clean receiving tanks for fermentation.  A two day fermentation occurs followed by a 24 hour soak of the finished coffee as is done at the mills in Kenya. The resulting cup is heavy bodied with excellent clarity.

Tasting notes: medium bodied, consistent cup from beginning to end. Beautiful notes of stone fruit, round sweetness and nice balanced acidity. 

 Orders received before end of day Wednesday, will be roasted and fulfilled the next day. All orders received after this time will be fulfilled the following week. All bags are 340g.
