Rafael comes from a long line of coffee growers dating to the 1870's. Rafael's ancestors decided to try planting coffee on one of the highest summits of the Apaneca-Ilamatepec mountain range sitting between 1,450 and 1,650 meters above sea level. The two named that farm La Siberia, for its chaotic - often cool - weather conditions and difficult accessibility. They are extremely conscious in their growing practices, and their agricultural practices have mostly stayed the same since the beginning. Each generation has taught the next with an eye on continually innovating - using sustainable practices to improve quality. This year we have two offerings from this farm. The same varietal (bourbon) but two different processes: washed + red honey. 

Tasting Notes: medium bodied with notes of dark chocolate and caramel with just a hint of raisins. Nice clean finish.

Orders received before 12a Thursday will be roasted and fulfilled that day. All orders received after Thursday will be fulfilled the following week. Each bag is 12 ounces.
