Felix (he goes by Antonio) inherited La Fortuna from his father about 25 years ago. He renamed the farm ‘La Fortuna’ because he felt so lucky to have inherited such a beautiful piece of land to raise his family. They have an incredible view of the square in Jardín and the beneficio of which he is also the gardener. He grows his coffee organically, although not certified, this is how he learned to farm from his father and continues his traditions. Two of his three children work on the farm with him, the other is in school full time in Medellín. He recently installed a water filtration system on his property so he can properly clean the water that is used to wash the coffee. It naturally treats the water through fermentation, making it less acidic before reusing or disposing.

Tasting Notes: Full bodied notes of chocolate, balanced acidity and sweetness.

Orders received before 12a Thursday will be roasted and fulfilled that day. All orders received after Thursday will be fulfilled the following week. Each bag is 12 ounces.
