This Beacon Exclusiveis 5 years in the making. 

The world-renowned Beneficio La Minita in Costa Rica’s Tarrazu Valley acquired the La Pradera Estate just up the road, five years ago and set out renovate the estate’s coffee trees from scratch – replanting in blocks by varietal. This geisha was planted using genetic seed stock with both Ethiopian and Panamanian roots.   

Geisha coffee trees produce half of what other varietals produce, making it extremely costly to produce. This year’s harvest, representing the very first harvest from La Pradera as a completely renovated estate, was sorted and milled two ways: yellow honey + fully washed and sundried. Less than 30 kilos of the yellow honey were produced with only 15 kilo of the washed available for purchase. 

 

These coffees are not available anywhere else in the world. 

 

Tasting Notes: tropical fruit, round sweetness, clean finish. The honey process is more fruit forward. We suggest brewing this using a paper filter method to allow the delicate flavors to shine. 

Orders received before 12a Thursday will be roasted and fulfilled that day. All orders received after Thursday will be fulfilled the following week. Each bag is 12 ounces.
